SEPTEMBER SPECIAL

Deal alert!  Your application fee is waived all September long.

Instead of paying the Specialty Instructor application fee, you can simply donate $30 to PADI AWARE.

Each donation goes a long way in helping turn local action into global impact.

There’s no better feeling than giving back to the ocean.  As a dive instructor, you get to appreciate the underwater world in a way not many people understand.

Your boat ride to the dive site is your commute to work.  Your first dive beneath the waves is your morning meeting.  As a dive instructor, the ocean is your office and marine creatures are your co-workers.

You experience great days at work in an extraordinary environment.  As ambassadors for the ocean, it’s also a dive instructor’s job to protect it.

Earning your Dive Against Debris Specialty Instructor rating is one of the best ways to do that.  Not only do you support the global impact of PADI AWARE, but you also instill the value of protecting the ocean in students and divers.

TEACH THE NEW DIVE AGAINST DEBRIS COURSE

Did you know PADI just launched an updated version of the Dive Against Debris course?  It teaches divers even more about removing trash from the ocean, what to do in unclear situations, and how your individual impact makes a big difference.

You can be one of the first divers to take this new-and-improved course.  Not only that, but you can be one of the first instructors who can teach this specialty to others!

Many of the course updates are aimed at answering questions.  For instance, have you ever wondered exactly how your role makes an impact globally?  Or, have you come across marine debris and questioned whether you should remove it or not?  Think: a soda can with soft coral growth on it. Or, as Blue Heron Bridge divers know, a glass bottle an octopus has made their home in.

Get the answers to your questions–and more–in the updated Dive Against Debris course.
